The Ease & Easy Residence is a contemporary new build home located in the northern suburbs of Athens, offering unobstructed views towards Mount Parnitha.
The residence is well developed across three levels, carefully organized to create a balanced and functional living environment. The ground floor accommodates the day zone, which extends seamlessly from the interior to the exterior living areas. The interior includes the living room, kitchen and dining area, while the outdoor spaces function as a natural extension of the house, incorporating the garden, barbeque area and swimming pool. The first floor accommodates the private family spaces and bedrooms, while the basement level contains the auxiliary and service areas.

The residence serves as the family’s primary home and was designed to support everyday living, social interaction and leisure activities within a calm and comfortable environment. Ease of use, low-maintenance solutions and a timeless design approach were key requirements throughout the design process of the project. Particular emphasis was placed on providing adequate storage capacity through discreet built-in elements, maintaining a simple architectural language and incorporating a soft color palette with limited visual contrasts.
To support the spatial organization, the freestanding furniture was oriented towards the windows and garden, ensuring direct visual connection with the exterior environment from every point within the main living areas. Storage spaces and secondary functions were positioned opposite the openings, allowing the primary living spaces to benefit from natural light and views. The interior palette consists of soft neutral tones, natural oak flooring and white wall surfaces. Within the garden, areas of taller planting create a natural screen that enhances privacy while supporting a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living.

All spaces were developed through a detailed design process and modelled in 3D, enabling the ongoing refinement of material selections, color composition and lighting design. Internal elevations and bespoke joinery elements were subsequently developed in parallel with the selection of freestanding furniture. The lighting installation was analyzed through photometric software to ensure sufficient illumination levels, uniformity, glare control and accurate color rendering.
Privacy is a defining characteristic of the residence, with nature playing a significant role in shaping the overall design approach. The project demonstrates how a home located within an urban environment can support a lifestyle closely connected to nature. The selected natural materials and refined finishes contribute to a calm, comfortable and welcoming living environment.
