Optimum Dental Care is a private dental clinic. The primary objective of the renovation was to reorganize the internal layout, improve the functionality of the spaces and incorporate a second treatment room. Additional requirements included providing natural daylight within the waiting area and introducing a complete aesthetic transformation that would align the practice environment with the level of services currently provided. The design brief also required each area to achieve optimal functionality and sufficient storage capacity, allowing every space to operate independently and efficiently.

The design process began with the development of the floor plan in order to resolve the spatial organization and functional requirements of the practice. Circulation routes were established first, followed by the integration of equipment, work surfaces and storage areas, ensuring that each space would be both autonomous and fully functional.

All spaces were developed through a detailed design process and modelled in 3D, enabling the ongoing refinement of material selections, color combination and lighting design. Internal elevations and bespoke joinery elements were subsequently developed in parallel with the selection of freestanding furniture.

The lighting installation was analyzed through photometric software and designed in accordance with lighting requirements and standards applicable to healthcare environments. This process ensured adequate illumination levels, uniformity, glare control and accurate color rendering throughout the practice.

The selected materials included natural oak flooring within the reception, waiting area and central corridor, while the office and treatment rooms feature flooring in a beige cement-effect finish. Partitions within the main spaces consist of white metal frames with clear glazing, while all remaining surfaces are finished in white. The materials used for both fixed and freestanding furniture were selected according to their intended use, with worktops, cabinetry and furniture specified for healthcare environments.

The defining characteristic of the project emerges from the balance between spatial proportions, material selections, color palette and lighting design. Together, these elements create a sense of cleanliness, visual clarity and comfort. Equally important is the perception of a unified environment that still maintains privacy within each area. This is achieved through the careful positioning, orientation and organization of the spaces, allowing for visual connection while supporting a sense of separation and discretion where required.
