While fully compliant with functional and safety regulations, the lighting design aims to highlight the architecture of the earth-sheltered home without causing light pollution.

Using energy-efficient lighting fixtures, the design supports sustainable living and helps preserve the dark Cycladic sky, aligning with eco-conscious architectural practices. It creates a balance between natural and artificial lighting, adapting seamlessly to both indoor and outdoor spaces.

The design enhances the minimal Cycladic architecture, meeting modern expectations for relaxation, aesthetic appeal, and comfortable living. As the built structure is partially embedded in the earth, the lighting concept carefully manages the transition between light and shadow, reinforcing the feeling of harmony with the natural environment.

This project was honored with a Gold Award at the Lighting Awards 2022.
